This is the third installment of the Pit Dragon series, and for me it's the best. Other writers have described the plot, so I'll only say that the story is catching, the situations are well described and we get a new viewpoint on the dragons and the world seen through their eyes.Recommended.

awesome book series. i loved reading these books in high school and still loved reading them as an adult. never knew about the 4th book though.
The Pit Dragon Series is an average fantasy fiction series. It is easily geared more towards the younger kids, around 4th to 6th grade.
Remember these books from my youth and they are still a good read
One of the reasons I tend to avoid a lot of dragon books is because there's too much politics and not enough dragon. The 1st book in this series is for serious dragon lovers; the rest of the books are pretty political about a rebellion and etc.

I read DRAGON'S BLOOD (book 1 in this series) a few years ago, having no idea it was the first book in a trilogy. It was a jewel of a book, even for an adult. However, I did not feel that way about either of the subsequent books. They were okay, but they did not give me that tingly feeling the first one did. The worst part about this book is that it sort ends with a lot of loose ends not tied up, making me expect a fourth book (which doesn't exist). I'd say buy A SENDING OF DRAGONS used, if you have read the first two books, and don't bother if you haven't.
